This is a writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following prayers :- "I. Pass the writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ or order or direction against the respondent to process her application bearing no. 194121 dated 30.04.2015 and convert her residential flat bearing no. 33-B, Jyoti Cooperative Group Housing Society Limited, Plot No. B-2, Sector-14 Extension, Rohini, Delhi-110085 from leasehold property to freehold property; . . ."

For the reasons stated in the petition, issue notice. 3.
Ms. Kaur, learned standing counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

She states that the conversion could not take place as the DDA was requiring a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Cooperative Group Housing Society. She states that as per the instructions received, the application of the petitioner will be processed on the petitioner giving an affidavit and indemnity in the prescribed format. 5.
With consent of parties, it is directed that that the respondent shall give proforma of the required affidavit and indemnity bond within 2 weeks to the petitioner, and the petitioner shall submit the same within 2 weeks thereafter. The application of the petitioner for conversion of the residential flat bearing no. 33-B, Jyoti Cooperative Group Housing Society Limited, Plot No. B-2, Sector-14 Extension, Rohini, Delhi-110085 from leasehold property to freehold property shall be processed expeditiously and not later than 6 weeks from the date of submission of the documents.

In case the property is not converted from leasehold to freehold, the petitioner shall be at liberty to revive the present petition. 7.
