The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that direction be issued to the respondents to restore the licence of PDS Shop, and to set aside the order dated 16.10.2018 cancelling the petitioner's FPS licence (License No.5266).

It is pointed out that the petitioner has an alternative remedy of appeal before the Commissioner, Food Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Delhi, in terms of Rule 6 of the Delhi Specified Articles (Regulation of Distribution) Order, 1981.

In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of by leaving it open for the petitioner to avail of his alternative remedies. 4.

It is clarified that in the event the petitioner files an appeal within a period of one week, from today, the same would be considered by the concerned authority within a period of eight weeks, from today,

uninfluenced by the question of delay, if any. 5.
