The instant petition under Article 226 and 227 of the Constitution of India for issuing writ, orders or directions for quashing the impugned orders dated 28th August, 2024 and 11th November, 2024 passed by Presiding Officer, Debts Recovery Appellate Tribunal ("DRAT" hereinafter), New Delhi in regular appeal no. 62/2022. The petitioner also seeks issuance of directions to the learned DRAT for expeditious disposal of the said appeal. 2.
Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submitted that the said appeal has been pending since 2022. Despite filling an application for early hearing no effective hearing has taken place, though dates were fixed by the learned DRAT.

It is submitted that since the appeal has remained pending for three years, this Court may direct the learned DRAT to dispose of the above said appeal expeditiously.

Heard. Learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the instant petition.

Considering the averments made in the petition and submissions advanced by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court is of the view that the appeal before the DRAT has been pending for a considerable period of three years.

In view of the above, the learned DRAT is directed to dispose of Regular Appeal No. 62/2022 expeditiously in accordance with law. 7.
Accordingly, the instant petition along with pending application(s), if any, stands disposed of.
