O R D E R

The petitioners have filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that FIR bearing no. 0286/2019, under Sections 498A/406/34 of the IPC registered with PS Saket and all proceedings emanating therefrom, be quashed.

The said FIR was registered at the instance of respondent no.2. Respondent no.2 is present in Court and is identified by the Investigating Officer (IO).

She states that she had filed the said FIR in view of matrimonial disputes that had arisen between her and her husband (petitioner no.1). She states that they have since resolved their disputes and are now residing together and separate from the other family members of petitioner no.1. She states that in terms of the settlement arrived at before the Mediation Centre, Saket Courts.

This Court has further interacted with respondent no.2 and has explained to her that in the event any further disputes or differences arise

with petitioner no.1, she would be precluded from seeking revival of the FIR or the allegations contained therein.

She states that she has reflected on all the allegations made therein and all her disputes stand settled, she insists that the FIR in question be quashed.

The petitioners are present in Court and are identified by their counsel. They state that they have no grievance against respondent no.2. Petitioner no.1 undertakes to this Court that he will treat respondent no.2 with dignity and respect. Petitioner nos. 2 and 4 also state that they would not interfere in the married life of petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2. 7.

In view of the statements made by petitioners and respondent no.2, this Court considers it apposite to allow the present petition. 8.

Accordingly, FIR bearing no. 0286/2019 under Sections 498A/406/34 of the IPC registered with PS Saket and all proceedings emanating therefrom, are quashed.

The concerned parties (petitioners and respondent no.2) shall sign this order as an acknowledgement of their statements recorded herein. VIBHU BAKHRU, J MARCH 11, 2020/RK
