% 15.01.2016 Present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to respondent to grant admission to the petitioner in a night shelter. Learned counsel for the petitioner states that since 10th January, 2016 petitioner is being denied access to the night shelter on the ground that Delhi Police officials have directed respondent no. 1 not to allow residents of Jammu and Kashmir and Azamgarh to stay there. W.P.(C) 394/2016

Learned additional standing counsel for respondent nos. 1 and 2, who appears on advance notice, has today in Court handed over a status report, which is taken on record. It is stated in the status report that no such directions were ever issued and people of Jammu and Kashmir as well as Azamgarh have been staying in the night shelter. In view of the aforesaid, learned counsel for the petitioner does not wish to press the present petition. Consequently, the same stands disposed of.
