Present appeal has been filed by the appellants challenging the interim order dated 5th March, 2024 passed by the learned Single Judge of this Court in WP(C) No.3394/2024 whereby the interim relief was not granted to the appellants. The appellants further seek a direction to the respondent nos.1 and 2 to rescue Shri Rohan Podar S/o Late Shri Sunil Podar R/o B5/119, Safdarjung Enclave, New Delhi - 110029 and to provide protective custody and maintenance to him.

Learned counsel for the appellants states that the appellants are the Grand Uncle and Grand Aunt of Shri Rohan Podar, who have applied for his legal guardianship as per the applicable law. He states that the learned Single Judge declined to grant the interim relief of appointing a Court Commissioner along with a medical team to assess the health and well-being The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. of Shri Rohan Podar, aged about 20 years, who is suffering from 90% mental and physical disability and is all alone at the mercy of untrained domestic help after the passing away of his father Late Shri Sunil Podar. 3.
Having perused the paper book, this Court is of the view that as the interim application has not been disposed of, it would be appropriate to request the learned Single Judge to decide the appellants' interim application at the earliest. Accordingly, this Court directs the respondent no.1 to file a status report clearly mentioning the current physical and mental state of Shri Rohan Podar within two weeks.

The next date of hearing before the learned Single Judge is preponed to 09th April, 2024.

With the aforesaid directions, present appeal and the applications stands disposed of.
