O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 266/2025 1.

This is a petition filed under Section 29(A)(4) and (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal by a period of 6 months. 2.

The mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is due to expire on 29.03.2025. 3.

Ms. Panda, learned counsel for the petitioner states that the arguments have been advanced by both the parties and the matter is only pending for the pronouncement of the Arbitral Award.

For the said reasons, issue notice.

Mr. Bhardwaj, learned CGSC accepts notice on behalf of the respondent and states that he is yet to receive instructions. 6.

In the present case, I am satisfied that sufficient cause for the delay has been shown. Further, the matter has already been argued by both the parties and is now only pending for the pronouncement of the Arbitral Award.

For the said reasons, the petition is allowed and the mandate of the Arbitral Tribunal is extended by a period of 1 month from 29.03.2025 to publish the Arbitral Award.
