% 22.03.2024 By way of the present petition filed under section 29A of the Arbitration & Conciliation Act 1996, the petitioner seeks extension of mandate of the learned Sole Arbitrator who is seized of the disputes between the parties.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the learned Sole Arbitrator was appointed vide order dated 21.02.2022;
consequent to which the mandate of the learned Sole Arbitrator was extended by consent of parties till 15.03.2024. 3.
It is submitted that the matter is now at the stage of recording of evidence of parties.

Ms. Meghna Kar, learned counsel appears via video-conferencing on behalf of respondent on advance copy; accepts notice; and does not oppose the prayer made.

In view of the above, the petition is allowed, thereby extending the mandate of the learned Sole Arbitrator by 01 year commencing 15.03.2024; with a request to the learned Arbitrator to conclude the proceedings within that time.

It is further observed that any proceedings undertaken after expiration of the previous mandate shall also stand validated and regularised. 8.
The petition stands disposed-of in the above terms. 9.
