This petition has been filed, under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, seeking extension of the mandate of a sole Arbitrator, who is in seisin of disputes between the parties. 2.

The mandate of the learned Arbitral Tribunal was extended by mutual consent of the parties w.e.f 02.09.2023 for six months, which expired on 01.03.2024.

Learned counsel, appears on advance notice on behalf of the respondent, and states that the respondent has no objection to the relief sought.

I am informed that the proceedings are at the final stages of respondent's evidence.

Although, the prayer in the petition is for extension of the mandate of the learned Arbitrator for six months w.e.f. 01.03.2024, learned counsel for the parties jointly request that the extension may be granted till 31.12.2024.

With the consent of learned counsel for the parties, the petition is allowed and the mandate of the learned Arbitrator is extended for a period till 31.12.2024.

The petition stands disposed of in these terms.
