The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that directions be issued to the respondent to release the petitioner on parole for a period of two months.

The petitioner's mother had filed an application dated 25.11.2019 with the concerned authorities, praying that the petitioner be released on parole to assist her in repairing the house.

The learned counsel appearing for respondent states that there has been a delay in considering the said application as all the officers were involved in election duty. However, she states that the said application would be considered by the concerned authorities and the decision would be communicated to the petitioner within a period of ten days from today. 4.

The respondent is bound down to the said statement.

No further orders are required to be passed in this petition. 6.

The petition is disposed of.
