Petitioners have sought quashing of FIR No. 428/2021 of PS Palam Village for offence under Section 498A/406/34 IPC and the proceedings arising out of the same. It is submitted by both sides that they have settled their disputes amicably.

All petitioners have appeared through videoconferencing and the respondent no. 2 (complainant de facto) has personally appeared in Court. The parties are identified by IO SI R.P. I have spoken with the parties in Hindi and it is stated by them that they have compromised all their disputes by way of settlement agreement dated 30.05.2024, executed before the Mediation Centre, Dwarka Courts. It is submitted by both sides that marriage between petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 stands dissolved by decree of divorce. There is no child born to petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2. Respondent no. 2 submits that she has received her entire stridhan as well as the full and final settlement amount and now there is no claim pending against any of the petitioners. 5.

Having spoken with the parties, I am satisfied that it would be in the overall interest of both sides and for permanent quietus not to push the parties through trial.

Therefore, the petition is allowed and the FIR No. 428/2021 of PS Palam Village for offence under Section 498A/406/34 IPC and the proceedings arising out of the same are quashed.
