O R D E R

This petition has been filed by the petitioner with the following prayers:

"In view of facts and circumstances stated above, it is most respectfully prayed that this Hon'ble Court be pleased to:- (i) Issue writ of mandamus directing the respondent No.5 to decide the representations dated 15.12.2023 made by petitioner particularly on the aspect of resignation from service by which the petitioner can take better treatment for his injury on his back and knees while on duty with National Disaster Response Force.

(ii) To direct the respondents to grant the Post retirement benefit, along with all consequential benefits and with the arrears & interest @12% p.a. wef. the date of discontinuation, viz 0 I Feb 2024. (iii) Pass any such other orders as it may deem fit to this Hon'ble Court in the facts and circumstances of the case." Learned counsel for the respondents appears on advance notice and states on instructions that the representation dated December 15, 2023 shall be decided within eight weeks.

It goes without saying if the petitioner is aggrieved by any order to be passed by the respondents, liberty shall be with him to approach the Court in accordance with law.
