Due to declaration of holiday on 14.04.2025 on account of Birth Anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the matter is taken up for hearing today.

The present petition is filed seeking the following reliefs: "a) Direct the Investigation Officer to Release the passport of the petitioner on temporary basis and/or b) Grant him permission to travel abroad i.e. Peoria, Chicago, Bostan from 25/04/2025 to 05/05/2025 and Orlando, Miami, New York from 05/05/2025 to 16/05/2025 for the purpose of family as well as business trip and/or c) Pass such other order/s as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the interest of justice."

By order dated 08.09.2022 passed by this Court in BAIL APPLN. 2394/2022, the petitioner was admitted on bail on certain conditions, one of them being that the petitioner shall not leave India without the previous permission of this Court and shall also surrender his passport.

granted permission to travel abroad on 07.10.2024 on certain conditions.

Concededly, the petitioner has not misused the liberty and has come back as per his itinerary.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has since settled the matter with the complainant. The factum of the settlement has also been verified by the State and a status report in that regard has been handed over today in Court. The status report is taken on record.

In view of the above, the condition imposed on the petitioner by order dated 08.09.2022 that the petitioner shall not leave India without the previous permission of this Court and shall surrender his passport is modified to the extent that henceforth the petitioner is permitted to travel after informing the concerned Investigating Officer of the date of his travel. The passport of the petitioner is directed to be released forthwith on the strength of the present order.

The petition stands disposed of with the aforesaid observations. Pending application, if any, also stands disposed of.
