O R D E R

% 02.02.2017 The nominal roll has been received. The petitioner had initially filed this petition to seek extension of parole which had been granted for 15 days w.e.f. 06.01.2017. However, before the matter could be taken up for consideration, the petitioner surrendered on 22.01.2017. The reason for seeking extension of parole is stated to be the illness of the petitioner's father.

The documents placed on record by themselves do not show such an emergent situation to justify the extension of parole. The petitioner has also moved an application before the Government to seek the same relief.

Let the said application be treated as a fresh application for parole. The petitioner shall place before the Government such further documents as are necessary to show the urgency in the matter within a week. Let the application of the petitioner be considered and decided within two weeks thereafter.
