The petition is for the following reliefs:

"a) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus directing the Respondent No.1 to ensure that the petition filed by the Petitioner under the under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizen Act, 2007 on 08.12.2025 (Annexure P/1) is taken up for hearing by a Maintenance Tribunal and adjudicated in a time bound manner; b) In the alternative, issue a writ, order or direction directing that, in the event early hearing before the concerned Maintenance Tribunal is not feasible, the matter be transferred to or taken up by any other Maintenance Tribunal, competent authority / court, for expeditious disposal in accordance with law;"

It is submitted by learned counsel for the respondent -Government of NCT of Delhi that the notice, as of now, has been issued to the respondents in the petitioner's pending petition, and the next date of hearing is fixed on 08.05.2026.
