% 23.01.2018 It is submitted that petitioner No.1 (husband) and respondent No.2 (wife) are living together for the last nine years after resolving their differences amicably; therefore, FIR No.884/2000 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Sultanpuri, Delhi on the complaint of respondent no. 2, may be quashed. Respondent no. 2 is present in Court today along with her counsel and has been identified by SI Dinesh Dahiya of police station Sultanpuri. Respondent no. 2 admits having settled the matter with the petitioners of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. She further submits that she is not willing to pursue

the FIR against any of the petitioner no. 1 and his relatives, that is, petitioner nos. 2 to 5 and the same may be quashed.

Keeping in mind that husband and wife have started living together after resolving their differences, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, FIR No.884/2000 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Sultanpuri, Delhi and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.
