O R D E R

% 16.04.2026 By way of the present petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita 2023, the petitioner seeks extension of parole granted to him by the concerned authorities vidé order dated 17.02.2026 for a period of 12 weeks.

Though the parole was granted in light of the Rule 1208(vii) of the Delhi Prison Rules, 2018, namely to maintain the family and social ties, Mr. Balvinder Kumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits, that as would be seen from his application for parole filed before concerned authorities, he had also sought parole for repairing his house.

Learned counsel submits, that the petitioner's house has still not been fully repaired; and that he has had to collect funds and resources to do so. of this court to certain photographs of the petitioner's house appended to the present petition.

Learned counsel states that the 04 weeks' parole granted to the petitioner is expiring on 17.04.2026.

Issue notice.

Mr. Sanjay Lao, learned Standing Counsel (Crl.) appears on behalf of the State on advance copy; accepts notice; and submits, that repeated extensions of parole may be discouraged. Mr. Lao however, leaves it to the court to pass appropriate orders.

Considering the submissions made, which seem to be borne-out by the record, the parole granted to the petitioner vidé order dated 17.02.2026 by the concerned authorities is extended further by a period of 04 weeks commencing from 18.04.2026, subject to the same conditions as were imposed vidé order dated 17.02.2026. 8.

The present petition is disposed-of in the above terms. 9.

Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed-of.
