Petitioner had a savings account No. 51840100002216, with Okhla Industrial Area, Branch of Bank of Baroda.

The grievance raised in the present writ petition is to the effect that such account was freezed on the premise that the petitioner was allegedly tampering with the Bunch Note Acceptor (BNA), while depositing some cash amount.

Learned counsel for respondent submits that with respect to the above said incident, the Bank has already lodged a report with the concerned Police Authorities and matter is under investigation. 4.
During course of the arguments, learned counsel for petitioner submitted that once the account is de-freezed, the petitioner would rather close down his said account.

the criminal action which they have already initiated, the bank would prepare a demand draft/Banker's Cheque of the amount for Rs.5,22,408.95/- (principal + interest accrued upto date) lying in the name of petitioner in the abovesaid account and the petitioner may collect the same from the Branch Head of the said Branch on 03.03.2025.

Learned counsel for petitioner submits, on instructions, that such proposal is acceptable and the writ petition may be disposed of accordingly. 7.
Writ petition stands disposed of in aforesaid terms. 8.
It is, however, clarified that if there is any formality for the purposes of the closure of the bank account, the petitioner shall render due assistance and co-operation on the above said date.
