By way of the present application, the applicant seeks grant of interim bail for a period of two weeks, on the ground of illness of his mother, in case arising out of FIR bearing No. 462/2022, registered at Police Station Moti Nagar, Delhi for the commission of offence punishable under Sections 302/147/148/149 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereafter 'IPC') and Sections 25/27 of the Arms Act, 1959.

applicant had earlier been granted interim bail for one week vide order dated 06.04.2026, passed by this Court, on account of the serious medical condition of his mother. While granting the said relief, this Court was pleased to observe that upon fixation of the date of surgery, the applicant may approach this Court for extension of interim bail. In compliance with the said liberty, it is submitted that the surgery of the applicant's mother is now scheduled for 21.04.2026, as supported by medical documents which are placed on record. It is stated that the condition of the applicant's mother is serious and requires urgent surgical intervention, which has also been verified by the Investigating Officer (IO) concerned in earlier proceedings.

Further, it is stated that the presence of the applicant is essential to attend to his mother during the surgery and immediate post-operative period. The applicant has duly complied with all conditions imposed during the earlier grant of interim bail and has not misused the liberty granted. Therefore, it is prayed that the applicant be granted interim bail for a further period of two weeks.

On instructions from the I.O. concerned, the learned APP for the State fairly concedes that the medical condition of the mother of the applicant has been verified.

Having heard the learned counsel appearing for the applicant and the learned APP for the State, since the factum of the medical condition of applicant's mother stands verified and keeping in mind the period of custody undergone by the present applicant, this Court is inclined to grant interim bail to the applicant for a further period of two weeks on the same terms and conditions as imposed vide order dated 06.04.2026, passed by this Court. 8.
