W.P.(CRL) 705/2020 The FIR No. 0294/2018 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC P.S. Samaipur Badli was registered against the petitioner on the compliant of respondent No.2/wife. The matter has been amicably settled between the parties vide settlement agreement dated 26.11.2019 and a decree of divorce has since been granted and they have parted their ways. The last leg of the payment as per the settlement is Rs.40,000/- which is paid today in cash to respondent No. 2 who is also present in Court and accepts the payment.

In view of the submissions made, the FIR bearing No. 0294/2018 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC P.S. Samaipur Badli stands quashed and so also the proceedings emanating therefrom. Nothing further survives in the petition. The petition stands disposed of.
