This is a writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following prayers:

(a) issue a writ of prohibition thereby restraining the Respondent from taking any decision on the basis of or in furtherance of Report dated 27.03.2026 of the Standing Appellate Committee of the Respondent; and (b) issue a writ of mandamus thereby issuing directions to the Respondent, to provide the Petitioner, a fresh hearing by Standing Appellate Committee with a reasonable time duration for hearing, to the Petitioner, to present its case efficaciously; and (c) issue a writ of mandamus thereby issuing consequent directions to Respondent to decide the Application of the The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. Petitioner, based upon the outcome of the fresh / proposed hearing of Standing Appellate Committee; for the present Academic Session 2026-27, on or before 30.04.2026 i.e. the cut-off date fixed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, in respect of the present Academic Session 2026-27" 2.

For the reasons stated in the petition, issue notice. 3.

Ms. Sharma, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

Mr. Soni, learned senior counsel for the respondent, states that even though the prayers cannot be granted, but in order to meet the ends of justice and to give another chance to the petitioner, the standing appellate committee shall provide a fresh hearing to the petitioner, subject to the petitioner paying requisite fee and costs for the same. 5.

Mr.

Sharawat, learned senior counsel for the petitioner, on instructions states that the same is acceptable. 6.

Consequently, the present petition is allowed. 7.

The Standing Appellate Committee shall give a fresh hearing to the petitioner and will consider the documents and the material produced by the petitioner and pass a fresh speaking order on or before 30.04.2026. 8.

The writ petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms. 9.
