The Petitioner herein is the widow of Late Shri Bhanwar Singh. She prays for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing to Respondents to pay to the Petitioner, the arrears of disability pension with respect to her husband, for the period 01.12.2011 to 19.02.2014. 2.

Learned counsel representing the Respondents submit that steps are being taken to release the amount to the Petitioner, however, it is going to take some time.

Learned counsel representing the Petitioner concedes that the Petitioner shall only be entitled to interest from the date, the representation was made, that is, 15.09.2025. 4.

As already noted, the Petitioner is a widow and expeditious disbursal is expected from the Respondents' Authorities. 5.

Hence, when her entitlement to the pension amount is not being disputed, the writ petition is disposed of at the initial stage, with direction to the Respondents' authorities to: - The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. a.

release the amount due, within a period of eight weeks; and b.

pay the interest @9% p.a. after a period of one month from the date of Petitioner's representation till payment of the amount.
