On previous date of hearing (17.04.2024), we have directed Mr. Sunil Agarwal, learned Senior Standing Counsel, to complete instructions in relation to petitioner's outstanding refund for Assessment Year 2025-26. 2.
Mr. Gibran Naushad, learned Junior Standing Counsel, on instructions submits that the Department would be processing petitioner's refund application and due payment shall be made within a period of four weeks. 3.
In view of the assurance so given, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to make payment of the due refund to the petitioner alongwith applicable interest under Section 244(1) & 244(1A) of the Income Tax Act, 1961 on or before 15.06.2026. 4.
