In the instant writ petition, the petitioner claims that acquisition of the land in Khasra No.270(03-06)1/2 i.e. (01-13) 1/3rd share i.e. 011 biswas having 1/3rd share measuring 0-4 biswas situated in the Revenue Estate of Village Ghonda Gujaran Khadar, Shahdara, Delhi, be declared as lapsed in view of the Section 24(2) of Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (hereinafter referred to as 'The Act'). Counter-affidavit has been placed on record by the learned counsel for the respondent No.2. Counsel discloses that award made on 19.06.1992 resulted in payment of compensation to the recorded owners i.e. Narayan Singh and Rattan Singh for Khasra No.270min (1-13). Gram Sabha (Gaddhe) is owner of 1-13 in Khasra No.270min. It is not in dispute that the possession was handed over. Counteraffidavit also shows that the possession was taken over on 21.03.2007. 3.
