W.P.(CRL) 522/2017 It is submitted that petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have resolved their differences and have started living together from 13th October, 2014. Respondent no.2 has already withdrawn her petition under Section 125 Cr.P.C. Petitioner nos.2 to 9 are the relatives of petitioner no.1. Respondent no.2 is present in Court and has been identified by ASI Bala Rani PS Chhawla.

Respondent no.2 submits that she has settled the matter with petitioner no.1 and is living with him for more than two years. She further

submits that she is not willing to pursue the FIR any further. Keeping in mind the fact that the husband and wife have resolved their differences and they are living together for more than two years, I am of the view that no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, FIR No.297/2014 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Chhawla, which is at the investigation stage, is quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
