% 20.02.2017 Present contempt petition has been filed alleging wilful disobedience of the order dated 24th August, 2016 passed in W.P.(C) 6370/2016 whereby the respondent nos. 1 to 3 were directed to treat petitioner's writ petition as representation with regard to grant of selection grade in TGT w.e.f. 1998 as well as post retirement benefits and decide the same within four weeks by way of a speaking order.

In the petition it has been averred that respondents have not decided the petitioner's representation till date.

However, today in Court, learned counsel for respondent nos. 1 to 3 has handed over a photocopy of the Minutes of Meeting dated 23rd

September, 2016 which shows that the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) in its meeting held on 23rd September, 2016 had recommended the petitioner for grant of selection grade of TGT w.e.f. 1st January, 1998. Subsequently, the respondent-School also communicated to the respondent nos. 1 to 3 that petitioner's claim shall be sent to them on or before 24th January, 2017.

Letter dated 28th January, 2017 written by respondent-School to respondent no. 1-Directorate of Education is reproduced hereinbelow:- "Ref.No. FMS/2016-17/60 Date : 28.1.2017 The Dy. Director of Education Zone VIII Partap Nagar DELHI Ref.: Regarding Arrears of Selection Scale to Mr. Shahid Ahmad Ansari TG(Retired) Dear Sir, Reference to your telephonic enquiry I have to send herewith the following documents for your information please. 1) Copy of letter No. FMS/2016-17/786/3045/272 dated 27/30.09.2016 sent to Mr. Shahid Ahmad Ansari reg. recommendation of Selection scale to Mr. Shahid Ahmad Ansari by the D P C-sent through Sp. Post 2) Copy of receipt of Speed post of above letter. Necessary intimation about fixation of his pay in Sel. Scale provided personally to him.

The information about the finalisation of arrears were also communicated to him.
