The writ petition is for the following reliefs: "a. Issue the writ in the nature of certiorari thereby quashing the order dated 10.04.2025 passed by the respondent no. 2 rejecting the application of the Petitioner no. 1 to appear through video conferencing for the purposes solemnization of marriage on 04.05.2025; b. Issue the writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondent no.2 to permit the Petitioner no. 1 to appear through video conferencing on 04.05.2026 for solemnization of marriage with Petitioner no. 2;" 2.

The solemnization of the marriage itself cannot be directed on the basis of virtual appearance of the parties. There is no such legal provisions brought to the notice of the Court.

In view thereof, the Court is unable to accede to the prayer made in the instant writ petition, and, accordingly, the petition stands dismissed.
