The present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeks the following prayers:

"a) Issue a writ in the nature of Certiorari, or any other appropriate Writs/ Orders/ Directions, thereby quashing the Impugned letters dated 26.06.2020. and 30.06.2020, and any other unilateral action by Respondent No.1 or its subsidiary Respondent No 2 towards attempting discontinuation of the Coal Loading and Transportation Scheme awarded to the Petitioner in terms of MoU dated 12.12.2013 ;

b) Issue a Writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the grant / sanction of the extension of work to the Petitioner for second term of four years commencing from 08.05.2021 in accordance with Clause 8 of the governing MoU dated 12.12.2013; c) Issue any other writ/direction as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit in the facts of the case.

d) Award costs of the petition."

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the maximum tenure of 9 years under clause '8' of Memorandum of Understanding dated 12.12.2013 is complete.

In view of the above, learned counsel for the petitioner does not press the present petition.
