Crl. M.A. No.9676/2020 (for compliance of order dated 16.03.2020) The petitioner seeks compliance of order dated 16.03.2020 whereby the competent authority was directed to take a decision on the petitioner's parole application within 10 days, under intimation to the petitioner.

Mr. Sumeet Singh Shokeen, learned counsel for the petitioner submits however, that the petitioner has no intimation as to the status of his parole application.

Mr. Chaitanya Gosain, learned counsel appears on behalf of Mr. Rahul Mehra, learned Senior Standing Counsel (Criminal) for the State on advance copy; accepts notice; and seeks time to file status report. 5.

Mr. Gosain states that as per his instructions, the reason parole cannot be granted is because the petitioner was awarded a prison punishment as recently as on 20.07.2020.

Let status report be filed before the next date, with advance copy to the opposing counsel.

Let petitioner's updated nominal roll be also requisitioned from the Jail Superintendent for the next date.
