By way of instant petition, the petitioner seeks following relief: "A. Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order, or direction transferring the protection power of the case to the Special Cell of Delhi Police, considering the failure of the local police to control the threats from the accused persons and ensure the protection of the Petitioner;

B.

Direct the Respondents to take immediate and effective steps to prevent further threats to the Petitioner and ensure strict compliance with the protection order granted by this Hon'ble Court..."

The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner draws attention of this Court to the order dated 28.02.2025 vide which the following order was passed:

"3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner had obtained loan from respondent no. 5 to 7, who are involved in business of money lending. Further, though the loan amount has already been paid, petitioner has been receiving threats from respondent no. 5 to 7 in order to extort money from the petitioner.

4. Learned APP for the State submits that the complaint dated 24.02.2025 received on 25.02.2025 is being looked into by the Investigating Agency and the outcome of the same shall be informed to the petitioner within a period of four weeks. He further submits that phone numbers of Division Officer as well as Beat Officer have been shared with the petitioner to obviate apprehensions, if any.

5. Taking the statement of learned APP for the State on record, petition is accordingly disposed of. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed of."

The learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner states that the petitioner herein, has been receiving threats, however, the concerned Investigating Officer is not co-operating. The learned counsel for the petitioner also states that the petitioner has already lodged a complaint regarding the threats received by him, whereon, no action has been taken. 8.

Considering the overall facts and circumstances of the case, it is directed that the present petition be treated as a representation on behalf of the petitioner. The concerned DCP will ensure that as per law, any action required in this case, be taken. The concerned DCP will also ensure that in case, any action is required, under intimation to the petitioner the action will be taken, as per law.

In the meantime, in case of any threats, the Beat Constable and S.H.O. whose numbers have already been shared with the petitioner herein, will The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.
