The petitioner seeks directions to the jail authorities to release him on furlough for a period of three weeks. Learned counsel for respondent on instructions submits that furlough application of petitioner was filed on 12.03.2025 and decision on the same shall be taken within one week. 3.

Accordingly, the petition is disposed of directing the respondent to decide the furlough application within one week. Of course, subject to the outcome of the decision or even failure to decide, the petitioner shall be at liberty to approach this court again.

Copy of this order be sent to the Superintendent of the concerned jail for compliance.
