O R D E R

% 13.08.2019 Learned counsel for the respondent has placed before me a copy of the Minutes of the 282nd meeting of the Executive Council, wherein agenda item No.6.12 reads as under:- "Considered the UGC's Letter No. F.46-6/2012(CU) dated 16.05.2019 regarding the date of applicability of the OCI Provisions of the Citizenship Act, 1955 ith reference to the appointment of Dr. Lip Biswas Sen, Asst. Prof. in Centre for Study of Portuguese, Italian and Latin American Studies (CSPILAS), School of Language, Literature & Culture Studies (SLL&CS) vis-a-vis the Hon'ble High Court order dated 11/02/2019 in Writ Petition(Civil) No. 4674 of 2018 and the direction dated 29/03/2019 of the Hon'ble Delhi High Court

in this matter, and;

After deliberations the Executive Council resolved that the services of Dr.

Lipi Biswas Sen, Asst.

Professor, CSPILAS/SLL&CS may be regularized from the date she acquired the Indian Citizenship i.e w.e.f. 14.01.2016 and her appointment may be confirmed in JNU from the same date." In view of the decision of the Executive Council of the University, wherein it has been decided to regularize the services of the petitioner w.e.f. January 14, 2016, Mr. Ghose seeks to withdraw the contempt petition. The contempt petition is dismissed as withdrawn.
