This is a petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, praying for a Writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus directing the respondents to find and produce the wife of the petitioner, namely, Ms. Mariya Fatima.

Ms. Mariya Fatima has appeared before us in person. As she is a major, she is entitled to do so.

At this stage, the counsel for the petitioner expresses a threat from the family of Ms. Mariya Fatima.

We, therefore, direct the SHO of the concerned Police Station to give his mobile number as also the mobile number of the Beat Constable of the area where the petitioner resides to the petitioner who may contact them in case of any need.

The learned Standing Counsel has handed over a copy of the Status Report, which is taken on record.
