The present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent/Election Commission of India (ECI), to approve the proposed name of the petitioner party and register the political party in an expeditious manner.

Ms.

Rohini Prasad, counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent/ECI on advance notice, submits that the verification exercise was carried out by the respondent/ECI in respect of the address of the political party given by the petitioner. A communication has been sent to the petitioner on 16th April, 2026, wherein the petitioner has been asked to clarify the discrepancies in respect of the address of the petitioner. 3.
