The instant writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been filed on behalf of the petitioner for seeking parole for a period of one month. Status report not filed.

Nominal Roll dated 10.01.2018 reveals that the petitioner was convicted under Sections 392/34 IPC and Section 25 Arms Act. He was sentenced to undergo Rigorous Imprisonment for two years with fine `2,000/- under Section 392/34; Rigorous Imprisonment for one W.P.(CRL) 261/2018
year with fine `1,000/- under Section 25 Arms Act. Both the sentences were to run concurrently. Nominal Roll further reveals that the petitioner has already undergone one year, five months and one day incarceration besides remission for two months and three days as on 10.01.2018. His overall jail conduct is satisfactory. 3.
In the interest of justice and for the reasons mentioned in the writ petition, the petitioner is granted three weeks parole from the date of his release, on his furnishing personal bond in the sum of `30,000/- with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of the Trial Court/CMM. After completion of parole period, the petitioner shall surrender before the Jail Superintendent.

Copy of the order be sent to the Jail Superintendant for information.
