On the last date of hearing, noting that the Petitioner in the present case, Mr. Harvir Singh has deceased, this Court gave a direction to the Investigating Officer to confirm with the legal representatives of the Petitioner, as to whether they pursue the present proceedings on behalf of the Petitioner.

Today, Mr. Hemant Mehla, APP for State, has handed over copy of the status report, enclosing therewith the statement of the Petitioner's wife, Sunita and son, Arun Kumar, wherein they have stated that they do not wish to pursue the present petition. The said status report is on record. 3.
