After some hearing, it transpires that the election process of State Legislative Assembly of Arunachal Pradesh is underway and the last date for filing nomination is already over.

Accordingly, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks leave to withdraw the present petition with liberty to avail appropriate remedies in accordance with law, including under Section 100 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951.

Consequently, the present petition is dismissed as withdrawn with liberty as prayed for. All the pending application/s also stand disposed of. 4.

It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion as regards the merits of the contentions of the petitioner.
