O R D E R

W.P.(C) 3954/2025 1.

The present writ petition has been filed for directions to the respondents to remove the pre-paid electricity meter vide C.A. No. 60026117477, existing in the name of Sudhir Kumar Singh, in respect of first floor, front side of the property bearing no. A-49, Majlis Park, Azadpur, Delhi-110033.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that the property in question, initially owned by Smt. Sumitra Devi, is the mother of petitioner no.2. Thereafter, by gift deed dated 29th November, 2023, the said property is now under the ownership of the petitioners herein. 3.

already vacated the premises in question, and now, there is no relationship of landlord and tenant between the parties.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that Sudhir Kumar Singh and members of his family, have already surrendered/vacated the possession of first floor front side of the property, i.e., A-49, Majlis Park, Azadpur, Delhi-110033, on 10th May, 2024. Thus, they are not left with any legal right, title or interest in respect of the said property. 5.

It is further submitted that said Sudhir Kumar Singh has now shifted to ground floor of the said property and is now a tenant of Smt. Sunita Devi, wife of Late Shri Mukesh Kumar.

At this stage, learned counsel appearing for the respondent submits that the said Sudhir Kumar Singh, has already made an application to the respondents, for the purposes of disconnection of the electricity meter in question.

He further submits that accordingly, the electricity meter vide C.A. No. 60026117477, shall be disconnected after following the due formalities. 8.

The aforesaid submission is taken note of.

Accordingly, the respondents are directed to disconnect the electricity meter vide C.A. No. 60026117477, expeditiously, after carrying out the requisite formalities.

With the aforesaid directions, the present writ petition, along with pending application, stands disposed of.

For compliance on behalf of the respondents, re-notify on 02nd May, 2025.
