This hearing has been held through video conferencing. 2.

The present application has been filed by the Petitioner seeking extension of interim bail. Initially, interim bail was granted to the Petitioner on 6th May, 2020 for a period of 8 weeks from the date of release. The Petitioner seeks extension of bail on the ground of the medical condition of his mother who is suffering from cancer.

On the last date, the status report was called for. A perusal of the same shows that the doctor is unable to confirm on the basis of the casualty cards as to whether the Petitioner's mother is suffering from cancer. 4.

A perusal of the initial bail order dated 6th May, 2020 shows that there is a detailed discussion on the reasons for grant of bail. Considering that the Petitioner was not involved in any other matter, the interim bail was granted. The medical records which have been placed on record by the Petitioner By:PRATHIBA M SINGH

show that the Petitioner's mother is being treated at the Delhi State Cancer Institute which is a government hospital. It appears that the said documents were not shown to the doctor for verification and only the casualty card was shown. The status report also shows that the brother of the Petitioner is in judicial custody. The parents of the Petitioner are old and the Petitioner's father is suffering from 70% disability.

There is no reason to disbelieve the medical records issued by the Delhi State Cancer Institute. During the period when the Petitioner has been on bail, there have been no complaints against him as to his conduct. Accordingly, it is directed that the interim bail already granted shall be extended till 30th September, 2020 on the same terms and conditions as mentioned in order dated 6th May, 2020. The Petitioner shall surrender after the expiry of the said period.

The bail application is disposed of with the above observations. All pending applications are also disposed of.
