O R D E R

By way of this writ petition, the petitioner seeks the following reliefs: "a) Issue notice to the respondents.

b) Direct the Respondent No.l/State to provide adequate protection to the petitioner from the hands of respondent no.2-5 in the interest of Justice." 2.

Issue notice. The learned ASC accepts notice on behalf of the State. 3.

This Court has heard learned counsel for the petitioners as well as learned ASC for State/respondent.

In the present case, the petitioner is having three sons and one daughter. The elder son Mr. Pradeep has already expired, while his wife and children were already residing separately and due to ill behaviour of elder son and his wife and children, the petitioner had disowned them, and had also lodged a complaint against them and had requested for protection of his life and property vide complaint dated 26.07.2011. respondent no. 2 used to visit the wife of the petitioner during her lifetime and while he was visiting, he had hatched a conspiracy to cheat and placed a forged appointment letter issued by the Customs and Central Excise Department with joining date of 25.05.2015, on the basis thereof, respondent no. 2 allegedly induced the petitioner through his wife, to sign certain documents and handover a post dated cheque along with two signed blank cheques under bonafide belief. It is further stated that respondent no. 2 had withdrawn an amount of Rs.9,42,000/- from the bank account of the petitioner. The petitioner, after knowing that such cheating has been committed by respondent no. 2, had lodged a complaint dated 21.06.2016 with concerned Police Station, however, no action was taken. It is further averred by the petitioner that on 21.01.

2026, respondent nos. 3 to 5, allegedly acting at the instance of respondent no. 2, attempted to trespass upon the property of the petitioner, thereby giving rise to an apprehension to his life and property. In view of the same, the petitioner had started apprehending threats to his life from the hands of respondent nos. 2 to 5. Accordingly, he has approached this Court for aforesaid reliefs. 5.

This Court notes that the right to life and liberty is a cherished Fundamental Right guaranteed by the Constitution of India and the instant case merits a careful indulgence of this Court in ensuring the same. 6.

Keeping in view the sensitivity of the present matter and submissions made by learned counsel for the petitioner, the petitioner is directed to provide his contact number to the concerned SHO and Beat Constable, and the concerned officers are also directed to provide the contact numbers of Beat Constable and SHO concerned to the petitioner, and provide necessary assistance as per law in case the need so arises. In view of the above, the learned counsel for the petitioner states that he is satisfied with the above arrangement.

It is clarified that this order will not be considered as any reflection on the merit of any dispute, pending between the parties. 9.
