% 04.05.2020 IA No.3802/2020 & IA No.3803/2020 (exemption) Exemption allowed, subject to all just exceptions. O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 110/2020 This petition is filed under section 29A(4) and (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 seeking extension of the period/ mandate of the learned Arbitral Tribunal by a period of three months until 13.7.2020. It is pleaded that learned Arbitral Tribunal was constituted on 12.6.2017. Earlier also some extensions have been taken. Reference may be had to the last extension, namely, order dated 20.12.2019 passed in OMP Misc.(Comm.) 532/2019 which extended the mandate of the learned Tribunal for a period of three months commencing from 13.1.2020. Learned Tribunal has on account of the prevailing pandemic requested the parties to take steps for seeking further extension of the mandate of the Tribunal. Learned counsel for the petitioner states that this is necessary as on account of the Lockdown necessary secretarial assistance was not readily available.

Mr.Tarun Johari, learned counsel has entered appearance for the respondent. He submits that he has no objection to the present petition. For the reasons stated in the petition, same is allowed. The period for learned Tribunal to complete the proceedings is extended till 13.7.2020. Petition stands disposed of. All pending applications, if any, also stand disposed of.
