The file of this case has not been received from the Registry. We are informed by the Court Master that the Registry has not been able to trace the said file.

It may be noted that the Registry was directed to place before us, all the matters that have been adjourned sine die, for assessing their current status. Pursuant thereto, the present case has been circulated in the cause list from 14.12.2017, to enable counsels for the parties to appear and inform this Court about the status of the case.

Counsel for the appellant/Bank states that the present appeal was adjourned sine die vide order dated 11.03.2004, on the ground that the issue involved in this appeal was a subject matter of SLP (C) No.3693/2004, that LPA 585/2000
was pending before the Supreme Court. He hands over a copy of the judgment dated 15.12.2009, passed by the Supreme Court in a batch of petitions, lead matter being Civil Appeal No.1748/2004 entitled "Allahabad Bank and Anr.
vs.
All India Allahabad Bank Retired Employees Association" and states that the said appeal filed by the appellant/Bank was disposed of with costs and therefore, nothing survives for adjudication in the present appeal.

While taking on record copies of the order dated 11.03.2004 passed in W.P.(C) 585/2000, the interim order dated 27.02.2004 passed by the Supreme Court in SLP (C) 3613/2004 and the judgment dated 15.12.2009 passed by the Supreme Court in the captioned case, reported as (2010) 2 SCC 44, the present appeal is disposed of .

Counsel for the appellant is requested to contact the Registry to enable it to reconstruct the appeal paper book. As the main file of the case is not traceable, the Registry is directed to prepare a part file, as an interim measure.
