The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking emergency parole for a period of 45 days in view of Covid-19 pandemic. 2.

Mr. Sunil Dalal, learned counsel for the petitioner, submits that the petitioner is 70 years of age and suffering from various comorbidities which have been mentioned in the parole applications dated 28.03.2020 and 08.04.2020 filed by him.

Mr. Rahul Mehra, learned Standing Counsel for the State submits that the applications filed by the petitioner will be disposed of within one week from today, and the various grounds raised in his applications will be duly considered.

In view of Mr. Mehra's submission, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the State authorities to dispose of the petitioner's pending applications for emergency parole dated 28.03.2020 and 08.04.2020 within a period of one week from today. 5.

It is made clear that I have not adjudicated upon the contentions raised in this writ petition and the rights and contentions of the parties in that regard are left open.

The petition is disposed of.
