The petitioner seeks an e-Movement Pass permitting her and her children to travel during the current national lockdown on account of the W.P.(C) 3072/2020

Covid-19 pandemic. She submits that she wishes to travel from Delhi to Ambedkar Nagar in the State of Uttar Pradesh in view of the fact that her father-in-law has died in Ambedkar Nagar on 08.04.2020. 3.

Mr. Satyakam, learned counsel for the Government of NCT of Delhi states that after the filing of the petition on 05.05.2020, the District Magistrate-West has issued an e-Movement Pass in favour of the petitioner and her children. A copy of the pass has also been placed on record. Ms. Geeta Luthra, learned Senior Counsel for the petitioner submits that the pass was issued only for the period of 05.05.2020 to 08.05.2020, and thus expires today. She therefore seeks an extension of the pass for a further period of 5 days.

Mr. Satyakam's submission is that there is no provision for extension of an e-Movement Pass. He submits that the petitioner be directed to apply again today for issuance of an e-Movement Pass which will be considered expeditiously within 24 hours. Mr. Satyakam also assures the Court that the movement of the petitioner and her children will be facilitated in accordance with the prevalent standard operating procedure. It is directed accordingly.

In view of the above, nothing survives in this petition. The petition stands disposed of in terms of the above.

If any further necessity arises on account of implementation of this order, the petitioner may make a fresh application. 7.
