The present petition is filed seeking quashing of FIR No. 238/2021 dated 07.06.2021, registered at Police Station Karol Bagh, for offences under Sections 384/506 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 ('IPC') and all consequential proceedings arising therefrom.

The petitioner contends that he has been falsely implicated in the present case and the proceedings have unnecessarily been pending for the last many years which is causing grave prejudice to him.

The chargesheet in the present case was filed way back on 15.05.2024. chargesheet by the learned Trial Court by order dated 20.06.2024.

Undisputedly, much water has flown since the registration of FIR. The investigation has now been completed and the chargesheet was also filed on 15.05.2024. The learned Trial Court has also taken cognizance of the matter. The learned Trial Court will now consider the matter on the issue of framing of charges. The petitioner is at liberty to take all arguments before the learned Trial Court.

The petitioner has an efficacious alternate remedy. This Court therefore does not consider it apposite to entertain the present petition at this stage.

The learned Trial Court is requested to expedite the hearing of the arguments on charge.

Needless to say, the petitioner is at liberty to approach this Court in case any grievance remains in future. 10.
