The petitioners have filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that directions be issued to respondent no.2 to conduct a free and fair investigation in respect of the complaint dated 12.03.2019 bearing No. 1900243, registered with respondent no.2 (Police Station Safdarjung Enclave).

The learned counsel appearing for the State states that the said complaint has been filed by the petitioners and an FIR has been registered (being FIR No. 162/2019) under Section 420/406/506 of the IPC, with P.S. Safdarjung Enclave and the matter has been investigated. The status report also indicates that necessary inquiries have been made. 3.
It is the petitioners' case that the offence of forgery has not been
added in the FIR in question. It was alleged that the accused (Mr Chetan Marwah), who is the son-in-law of the petitioners, had forged signatures of petitioner no.2 in the bank account opening form. It is also alleged that monies belonging to the petitioner had been deposited in that account but and an overdraft was availed against the security of the said amounts. 4.
In view of the above, the investigating agency is directed to examine the aforesaid allegation and make due inquiries. If, after due inquiry' it is found that commission of the said offence is indicated, the same would be added in the FIR in question.

No further orders are required to be passed in this petition. 6.
The petition is disposed of. The pending application is also disposed of.
