Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 ('Cr.P.C.') has been preferred on behalf of the petitioner seeking parole for a period of four weeks on the ground of his engagement and marriage ceremony. 2.

Learned ASC appears on advance notice and accepts notice. 3.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner was earlier granted parole in the month of January, 2024, which was further extended The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. for a period of eight days. It is submitted that the present writ petition has been preferred for purpose of fresh parole since the petitioner had surrendered thereafter.

Learned ASC for the State submits that petitioner is required to file a fresh application before the Competent Authority in accordance with jail rules for grant of parole.

Considering the facts and circumstances, petitioner is directed to file a fresh application before the Competent Authority which shall be disposed of expeditiously in accordance with law.

Petition is accordingly disposed of. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed of.
