Heard the learned Counsel for the Parties.

For ventilation of his grievances, the Petitioner appears to have approached the Director General of Prisons by way of a communication made through e-mail on 17.04.2026.

react to such prayers, however, the Petitioner in the present case has unnecessarily rushed to this Court, not waiting even for a week from the date the representation was made.

Having regard to the issue raised, we dispose of this Writ Petition with a direction to the Director General of Prisons, Delhi Prisons Department, to take cognizance of the e-mail communication dated 17.04.2026, which has been enclosed as Annexure-P-1 to this Writ Petition, and take appropriate decision and action which may be warranted under law, with expedition.

The Writ Petition and the pending Application stand disposed of with the aforesaid directions and observations.
