The petitioner has filed the present application seeking extension of parole that was granted pursuant to the order dated 21.05.2020. 4.

By the said order, the petitioner was directed to be released on parole for a period of three weeks from the date of his release. However, prior to expiry of the said period, the petitioner filed application seeking extension of parole on the ground that he had met with an accident and had suffered multiple fractures in his shoulder bone. The said application (Crl. M.A. 7548/2020) was allowed on 12.06.2020 and the parole granted to the applicant was extended for a further period of three weeks. The petitioner is now required to surrender on or before 06.07.2020.

Ms Kamna Vohra, learned ASC appearing for the State states that the medical documents produced on record indicate that the petitioner was advised rest for two weeks from 18.06.2020.

In view of the above, this Court does not consider it apposite to allow the present application and, accordingly, the same is dismissed. 7.

However, the Jail Authorities are directed that as soon as the petitioner surrenders they shall ensure that he is provided the necessary care and his medical treatment, if any, continues. VIBHU BAKHRU, J JULY 01, 2020 pkv
