This petition has been filed by the petitioner challenging the invoice raised by the respondent no.1 for an amount of Rs.1,51,742/- as arrears towards water supply, intimation of which has been allegedly received by the petitioner by way of an SMS.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been making repeated representations to the respondents regarding the inflated and incorrect bills being raised for the water consumption for the flat in question, however, she has not received any reply to such representations.

Having considered the submissions made, it is directed that the

respondent no.1 shall consider the contents of the present petition as a representation of the petitioner and pass a speaking order thereon within a period of two weeks with prior intimation to the petitioner. In case the petitioner is aggrieved of the decision taken by the respondents on her representation, the petitioner would be at liberty to challenge the same in accordance with law.

Mr.Sumeet Pushkarna, learned counsel for the respondents on instructions from the Director (Revenue), assures the Court that in the meantime, no coercive action will be taken against the petitioner for enforcement of the Impugned Demand. He submits that this assurance has been given without prejudice to the rights and contentions of the parties and be not taken as a precedent.
